About me

I am an assistant professor at the School of Architecture & Design at the University of Kansas (KU). I hold a Ph.D. in Design with Digital Media from the University of Missouri where I also taught and worked at the Immersive Visualization Lab (iLab). I also have an M.F.A degree in Design Pedagogy from the University of North Texas, and a bachelor's degree in Interior Design from the Ajman University of Science and Technology, Ajman - U.A.E.

My research interests are in collaborative design thinking and emerging technologies. Particularly, I am curious to learn more about immersive technologies, such as Virtual Reality (VR) systems, and how they can improve the design process, especially the communication between designers and clients. My current research focuses on how VR can be utilized as a participatory design tool.
